How to get your boss to be KP curious!

There is a growing demand for learning leaders. And there is an increasing need for learning experiences that matter.

Organisations and communities are going through a period of massive change, and they are looking for people like you - to tackle the new responsibilities and challenges that may arise.

Which is why you’re reading this article.

You’re KAOSPILOT curious. KP curious for short.

And now you’re ready to take your first step with the KAOSPILOT Masterclass Part 1 presented by Alkimia.

Most of our alumni have been fully or partially reimbursed by their employer for their Masterclass fees. Although not always guaranteed, reimbursement establishes that your organisation is serious about developing and challenging its people.

For those interested in having a conversation with their boss, we’ve compiled a list of advice and resources that have helped alumni communicate the value of these Masterclasses as a professional development opportunity:

  • Reflect on the course agenda and key learning outcomes and share with your boss your own specific learning goals for the Masterclass. These could be a combination of professional, practical and personal goals.

  • Be sure to highlight how you think you could apply your learnings to the bigger challenges and goals of your team and organisation. You can also mention that during the Masterclass the participants will use KAOSPILOT tools to work on 2-3 real-life projects/programs chosen by the group.

  • Highlight how special KAOSPILOT truly is; developed over 30 years from working and exploring the potential in transformational education - KAOSPILOT has been recognized by BusinessWeek as "one of the best design schools in the world," and by Fast Company as one of the Startup League's Big 10.

  • Outline the dates; you can find all upcoming sessions here including times, location and fees. There is an ed2ed discount for those working in the education, not-for-profit, government and community development sectors. Group discounts are also available and sending more than one person always helps to accelerate the application of learnings afterwards.

  • Emphasise how unique this opportunity is; Alkimia is the only licensee permitted to teach KAOSPILOT's methods in Australia.

  • You can also point out that more than 2500 educators, program directors, learning designers and consultants, trainers, facilitators and edu-preneurs have participated in this Masterclass across 40 countries. In Australia, we are a community of more than 300 passionate people working in learning and education. Check out some of the clients we have worked with specifically at Alkimia.

BONUS TIP: If your boss wants to chat with one of us, or better yet, if they want to enrol the team in a session - please reach out. We’re more than happy to jump on a call!

But don’t just take our word for how impactful these workshops are. Some of our alumni have also kindly shared their insights below!

We can’t wait to meet you 🙌

The Masterclass was amazing. Loved Ramon’s facilitation and the Kaospilot way. Drop PowerPoint, embrace flow and fluidity. Let learners own their experience.
— Nicole Lee, Consultant and Coach, Transformational Change
The experience was wholly engaging, exhilarating and exhausting - and I didn’t want it to end. It was a massive injection of creativity and positivity meshed into a brilliant opportunity to meet and work with a fun bunch of like minded individuals.

This process allows for creativity. It’s learner centric and that’s a joyful way of making work.
